Sony plans to announce Android smartphone “Tapioca”

Prior this week, we brought you information of an economical Android based Sony handset identified as the Kumquat, which is highly anticipated to be announced at MWC.

If the new reports are to be whispered it won’t be the only economical handset Sony is introducing in the in few months. A latest report says that another economical handset from the company dubbed as the Tapioca is due to be announced.

The features and specs of the Tapioca have been revealed and it will bring a 3.2-inch touch-display with 320 x 480 pixels screen resolution. The handset will also include 512MB of RAM, an 800MHz processor and it will run on Android Gingerbread operating system.

Pre-installed storage capacity comes in at 4GB, while further specs leaked contain a 3.2-MP backside shooter and support for both Wi-Fi and 3G facility.

However the Tapioca has a junior specs and features than the Kumquat, so sources believe that the Tapioca will bring the tag of an affordable Android handset.
