World famous giants improved their desktop operating systems, Apple brings OS X Mountain Lion and Microsoft brings Windows 8. Both enjoy massive fans’ list and features unique facilities than earlier versions. Presently both of these have same objectives but execute different approach. Whether you are going for Apple or Windows one thing is definite that newer versions are meant to make your user experience more connected, seamless and hi-end as mobile devices. Mountain Lion will come much closer to iOS and Windows goals at making its OS friendly and compatible for both mobile devices and desktops.

- Better Sharing: Sharing in Mountain Lion can be done using individual apps. Safari gets better and allows sharing web stuffs and URLs too with easy clicks and offered options. Windows here allows better sharing that is allowed from the main menu and here you get all the options with just single click.
- Cloud services: This is the next great feature to explore and compare in both. The new Office offers a SkyDrive that allows storing all crucial content in it and facilitates access from any place and using any device. Mountain Lion also offers cloud services but limits to certain extent wherein syncing videos and integrating calendars are not possible. You also don’t have the file structure for accessing your important data.
- Photos: Apple here is better with powerful iPhoto that allows you to systematize and edit your memories. You can also import your albums to iOS devices or to social networking sites. MS has an application that executes functions simply meant for sharing, storing and integrating your photos. They can be stored in cloud with the use of SkyDrive.
