Mozilla is reportedly busy in examination of its debut Firefox OS & in declaring many operator and smartphone releasing plans on Sunday. The new OS is aimed for an improved option for low-end smartphones in developing markets and is made around apps that are coded with HTML5. It has been unveiled that the initial devices using this OS are all run by Qualcomm processors and will be given by LG Electronics, ZTE and Alcatel One Touch. These companies are expected to bring their devices in market by this summer while Huawei shall hit the grounds after them.

ZTE would officially launch its debut device in Barcelona today. Not just phone manufacturers but also 18 operators are teaming up with Firefox OS including Deutsche Telekom, China Unicom, Sprint, Telenor, Telecom Italia etc. Initial grounds where the phones will be released include Colombia, Spain, Brazil, Poland, Mexico, Hungary, Serbia and Venezuela.
The OS maker envisions further phone manufacturers along with more markets to get added in future. It cited that U.S still has to wait till 2014. During Mobile World Congress, it displayed its hurdle-less integration with Facebook along with Nokia’s Here platform. The firm is not required to build a new environment for this OS as it can benefit from entire HTML5 developers’ zone that have been already working for the software, it said. Users will access apps for this OS from Firefox Market.
