Lenovo expands the tablet size than what it was usual till now. The company gets in table-size tablet cum Table PC of 27 inch screen size which reports say should hit the market shelves by early summer. Lenovo has upgraded the versions available till present and debuts now with IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC that can be used horizontally same like a tablet on flat surface. This giant tablet is powered by Windows 8 & sports touch-screen aimed for touch-play for gamers. Lenovo further plans even bigger product of 39 inch wide screen, code-name for which is Gamma.
“We’ve seen technology shifts across the four screens, from the desktop to the laptop, tablet and smartphone, and yet, while people have more computing power than ever before, there is still room for technologies like Horizon that bring people together,” utters Peter Hortensius, product segment chief.
“Now many people can enjoy different photos, music and video on the same screen, and they can play games with our special accessories that blend physical and digital interaction.”
The 27 inch tablet is loaded with Nvidia GeForce graphics & a loud Dolby Home Theatre vA4 audio & runs by powerful Intel Core i7 processors. But the slate would be quite heavy to carry for users as it is about 8kg. The technology device is teamed up with accessories like joysticks, e-dice and a unique blend of physical and digital tasking. Also the company weighs the App Shop for users where more than 5,000 multi-user entertainment apps are accessible for ultimate fun.
Further this tablet can be transformed into a table PC where a backlit screen is viewable from any angle and the price tag attached is $1,699.
