On Friday , Google chief executive said that the company’s major danger was Microsoft’s Bing search engine, not Face book or Apple. Schmidt in an interview said that though it’s true that web search is not just game in town, piercing information is what it is all about.
He depicts Apple as a well respected opponent and Face book as a “in social networking company of consequence doing an outstanding job,” but said that Google’s main antagonism was Microsoft’s latest generation search engine.
Currently on Facebook and Apple, Schmidt said that or commented – we don’t consider them competitive threat. Completely, Bing is our major competitor. It is a well run, extremely competitive search engine.
According to well sourced report, “Microsoft’s Bing and other internet search services go past Yahoo! for the first time to become the number two search engine in the United States in the month of August”.
In the month of August Microsoft’s Bing, MSN and Windows Live had a 13.9 per cent share of US search volume, up by 0.25 per cent from July, while Yahoo! had a 13.1 per cent share of US internet searches, down from 14.6 per cent in July.
